Brooklyn Teen Charged in Fatal Liquor Store Shooting: NYPD

Police say they have charged a 19-year-old in a double shooting at a Brooklyn liquor store earlier this year that left a teen dead.

Clayton Gravenhise was charged with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting that killed 19-year-old Jahzeph Crooks at the store on Stone Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Aug. 29, according to the NYPD.

His arrest comes after police say suspects fired into the store, hitting Crooks in the head and knee and a 20-year-old woman in the right ankle.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, police say. Crooks died on Sept. 6, and the woman recovered from her injuries.

It’s not clear if Gravenhise has an attorney.
