New Security Measures for Students Taking SATs

The new security measures are the result of a widespread cheating scandal that led to the arrest of 20 students on Long Island last year

Students taking the SAT exams in New York Saturday didn't just face tough questions, but tough new security.

The new security measures are the result of a widespread cheating scandal that led to the arrest of 20 students on Long Island last year.

Test takers Saturday had to submit a photo ID that matched the one on their admission ticket. They were also subjected to additional ID checks throughout the exam.

Next year, students will need to upload their photos during the online registration process.
