Prosecutor John Molinelli says the first incident occurred on Oct. 16 in Montvale when a man in a black vehicle pulled up near a middle school and offered three girls cash for sex.

Similar incidents were reported in Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Ridgewood and Allendale.

All the girls walked away and told their parents or teachers, who called police.
