Police are looking for the Grinch who brazenly waved at a New Jersey homeowner’s surveillance cameras as she stole two Christmas trees.

Authorities said the thief walked up to a home’s front porch in Paterson on Sunday morning to filch the two trees and was caught on camera casually unplugging the two decorations before making off with them.

Video also shows the woman catch a glimpse of a surveillance camera out front of the home. But instead of trying to conceal her identity, she waves then walks away.

The homeowner, who asked not to be named, told News 4 that she doesn’t know who the Yuletide thief is.

“She’s like a Scrooge,” the homeowner said. “It’s not the season to do that.”

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Paterson Police Department at 973-321-1111.
