New Jersey Woman Reports Boyfriend Missing, Apartment Ransacked

Police are investigating after a woman reported her boyfriend was missing and the New Jersey apartment they shared was burglarized.

Police say Megan Faulkner left their apartment in Fort Lee Tuesday night to meet a friend. At about midnight, Faulkner began receiving strange messages from 24-year-old boyfriend Jordan Johnson's cell phone, telling her to meet him in Harlem, police said.

Johnson's sister, Jacqueline Taylor, said the messages said things like "meet me here" and "ride with me," but they didn't seem like they were coming from Johnson.

"Whatever it was, she knew it wasn't him," Taylor said. "She didn't feel like it was him."

After waiting in Harlem, Faulkner told police her boyfriend was nowhere to be found. She said she tried unsuccessfully to contact him several times.

When Faulkner returned to their apartment, police said it had been ransacked. A large amount of jewelry and cash were missing. Police said it's possible that Johnson was kidnapped.

Fort Lee police are looking for Johnson's black 2013 BMW 550 Gran Turismo, which has New Jersey license plate No. X81-DYR.
