2 New Jersey Men Arrested in 2 Child Sex Abuse Cases: Prosecutors

Bergen County prosecutors say they've arrested two men in separate child sex abuse cases.

Julio Peralta-Aguilar, 47, of Cliffside Park, was arrested Friday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child after investigators say he abused a 7-year-old girl, according to prosecutors.

The girl told her mother about the alleged incident, and her mother took her to a medical center in Teaneck to be examined, authorities said.

Peralta-Aguilar remains in Bergen County Jail on $250,000 bail until his arraignment on Thursday. Attorney information wasn't immediately available.

Also Friday, Daniel O'Brien of Saddle Brook was arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said O'Brien abused a 9-year-old girl, who disclosed the alleged incident to a coordinator from the NJ Child Abuse Prevention Program who was speaking at her school.

The coordinator contacted authorities, who interviewed the girl.

O'Brien was jailed on $300,000 bail pending his arraignment Tuesday.
