Authorities say a utility worker with Jersey Central Power & Light has died after being electrocuted while on the job.

First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Richard Incremona tells the Asbury Park Press that the man died Friday morning while doing work on Daum Road in Manalapan.

JCP&L Spokesman Ron Morano says the company is mourning the loss of a member of the ``JCP&L family.''

Morano says no further details are being released, and the man's name has not been made public, pending family notification.
