Police are investigating at a Long Island home where sources say a dead baby was found in the backyard.
Nassau police said they were initially called to a home on Walnut Street in Glen Head at about 8:30 a.m. for a 20-year-old woman in distress.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where it became apparent she had just given birth, according to Nassau Police Det. Capt. John Azzata.
Officers returned to the home, and that's where police found the newborn girl in the backyard, sources said.
It's not clear whether the baby was full-term.
