Naked Man Who Went on Fatal Stabbing Spree Convicted of Murder

A man who went on a naked stabbing spree and killed two of his New York City neighbors and injured three others has been convicted of murder after unsuccessfully arguing he was too delusional to be held criminally responsible.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. says a jury rightfully found Christian Falero guilty Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Falero chased down and beat a home health aide by the mailboxes in their upper Manhattan building in August 2011.

Prosecutors say Falero then ran to the second floor and yelled fire, assaulting an elderly woman who opened her door and fatally stabbing her 81-year-old husband. He also stabbed two other residents, killing a 61-year-old man.

Defense lawyers had argued that Falero was diagnosed with schizophrenia and did not know right from wrong.
