Man Found Running Naked on Long Island Street Later Dies

Police say the man was seen at a Baldwin intersection on Wednesday at about 8:15 a.m. pounding on the door of a commuter bus

Homicide detectives on Long Island say a man taken into custody after running naked on the street later died.

Nassau County Police did not immediately identify the 41-year-old man.

Police say the man was seen at a Baldwin intersection on Wednesday at about 8:15 a.m. pounding on the door of a commuter bus.

The man was handcuffed and taken into custody. An ambulance was called and he was taken to a hospital.

Once arriving at the hospital, the man was declared dead. Police had no further details on what type of physical ailment the man may have suffered.

The investigation is ongoing.
