NYPD Investigating Deaths of 2 Toddlers in Queens

Police are investigating two separate toddler deaths in Queens. 

On Monday night, a 2-year-old girl was found unconscious in her Arverne home, police say. The toddler, identified as Kevasia Edwards, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say Kevasia had bruising around her mouth. There are no arrests and the investigation is continuing.

On Tuesday afternoon, a 2-year-old boy was found unconscious inside a Jamaica home on 156th Street, according to police. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

The medical examiner is investigating how the boy, identified as Naizer Reid, died.
