Subway Rider Yells Out ‘Bomb!' on L Train Hours Before Real Blast: NYPD

Police are looking for a subway rider who yelled there was a bomb aboard the L train in Brooklyn Saturday evening, just hours before an actual bomb exploded in Manhattan, wounding 31.

The man boarded the Manhattan-bound train at Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg at about 5:45 p.m. and yelled out "bomb," according to police, citing witnesses.

He began to count down from five, then yelled out "boom," police said.

A passenger took a photo of the suspect with her cellphone before she got off at the First Avenue stop in Manhattan.

The suspect is described as about 30 to 40 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)

The false report of a bomb threat came hours after a device exploded along a 5K Marine charity race in Seaside Park, New Jersey. No one was injured in that blast, but later in the evening, another bomb went off in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea, injuring 31.

Ahmad Rahami has been arrested in the bombings, along with two other bombing attempts -- one also in Chelsea, another near a NJ Transit station in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
