NYPD Officer Faces Civil Rights Charges

A police officer is accused of violating the civil rights of a patron outside his cousin's bar in Brooklyn.

Officer Admir Kacamakovic was charged Wednesday.

He's also accused of improperly accessing information in an FBI database.

Authorities say his cousin was the subject of a federal narcotics probe.

The complaint says Kacamakovic was on duty and in uniform when he pepper-sprayed, handcuffed and unlawfully detained the patron on July 5.

Authorities say it started when he interrupted a parking dispute and said no one was allowed to negatively affect his cousin's business.

Information on his attorney was not immediately available.
