A woman whose throat had been slit was found dead in a car parked in the middle of a Brooklyn intersection, and her husband has been arrested in her killing, police say.

The 45-year-old woman, identified by police as Karen Ashley, was in a gold 2004 Nissan Maxima parked at the intersection of 75th Street and Blake Avenue in East New York.

Police say officers found the woman around midnight after someone called 911 to report the unresponsive victim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of the Maxima.

Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police later announced the arrest of 55-year-old Beresford Ashley on murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges. He is the woman's husband, according to police. 

It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
