A woman was stabbed to death in Queens early Monday morning and a man was taken into custody, police said.
The woman, who has not yet been identified but was said to be in her 40s, was stabbed shortly after midnight at a home in Ozone Park.
Police responded to the home near 103rd Avenue and 124th Street around 12:15 a.m.
Officers found the woman with a stab wound to her neck. She was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A 49-year-old man was apprehended a few blocks away and taken into custody, police said. His relation to the woman wasn’t immediately known. Charges against him were pending Monday morning.
Police believe the man and woman had been arguing before the stabbing.
