A 63-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a Ford flatbed truck as she crossed a Manhattan street, police said.
The woman, who police identified as Maria Minchala, was crossing 165th Street in Washington Heights Wednesday night when she was hit by the truck, which was headed south on Broadway.
Emergency responders rushed the Washington Heights resident to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, but she didn’t survive her injuries.
The 42-year-old man who was driving the truck stayed at the scene and has not been charged.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
