A New York City woman says she's been harassed by MTA drivers on least seven occasions since May because she travels with a therapy dog.
The Daily News says Hannah Josiah has filed a notice of claim to sue the city.
She alleges bus drivers in the Bronx have passed her by, turned her away, called police or berated her.
Her lawyer says she suffers from depression, a disability that may not be visible to others. He says her pooch Jasper serves to quell her anxiety and remind her to take her medication. He says Josiah also suffers from vision problems.
A NYC Transit spokesman declined to comment on the allegations.
Unlike service dogs, therapy dogs must be transported in a carrier under the agency's rules.
