The off-duty agent reportedly attacked a woman who already had a restraining order against him.
A city traffic agent has been arrested on charges of rape and criminal contempt, authorities say.
Chandick Jainarine, 54, was taken into custody at about 8:30 p.m. Monday and immediately suspended from his job, police said.
The incident report did not detail the circumstances surrounding Jainarine's arrest, but the Daily News reported he allegedly raped and threatened the life of a woman who already had a restraining order in place against him. weren't clear. It wasn't known if he had a lawyer.
