NYC Couple Went out Drinking, Left Baby Back in Hotel Room Alone: Police

Police say a Staten Island couple went out drinking while their infant daughter was in their hotel room alone.

Jenna Roloph, 28, and Douglas Lopez, 31, allegedly left their 11-month-old girl in a room at the Holiday Inn on Wild Avenue in Staten Island.

Surveillance video shows them leaving the room without their daughter and then returning an hour and 20 minutes later, according to court documents.

When officers showed up at the room to perform a wellness check, they found Lopez drunk and Roloph passed out on a bed, police said. The baby girl was found sleeping in a crib near a vent, where the temperatures was 85 degrees.

Roloph and Lopez were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

It wasn't clear if they had attorneys.
