Group Stabs and Beats Man in Brutal Attack on Jackson Heights Street: NYPD

A man was beaten and stabbed as he walked on a street in Queens, police say.

The 24-year-old victim was walking near 74th Street and 32nd Avenue in Jackson Heights last Thursday night when he was approached by the four suspects.

The men stabbed the victim with a knife and then hit him in the head and body with a tire iron and a cane, police said.

The victim suffered numerous lacerations to his back and head. He was rushed to Elmhurst General Hospital in critical but stable condition.

A motive behind the brutal attack is not known.

The suspects took off down 32nd Avenue. Police said they are in their late teens or early 20s.
