NYC Department of Transportation Offers Free Rides for Holidays

Agency is giving away thousands of free taxi, livery cab and subway rides

New York City's Department of Transportation is giving away thousands of free taxi, livery cab and subway rides as part of the "You The Man" safe ride home campaign.

The DOT is working with Johnnie Walker to give away 1,500 debit cards loaded with $15 from now until New Year's Day at the following locations:

  • Thursday, Dec. 20, 6 p.m. – Astoria, Queens (Broadway & 31st ) and Williamsburg, Brooklyn (Bedford & North 7th)

  • Thursday, Dec. 22, 5 p.m. – Bronx Hub (149th street between Grand Concourse and The Hub)

  • Friday, Dec. 23, 5 p.m. – St. George, Staten Island (St. George Terminal) and Downtown Brooklyn (Fulton Mall)

    Saturday, Dec. 31, 5 p.m. – Upper East Side (Second Avenue & 86th) and Harlem (Broadway & 125th), Manhattan
