1 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in Bronx Shooting: NYPD

Police are searching for the gunman who opened fire on two people in the Bronx, killing one man and leaving a woman with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. on Saturday in front of 724 East Tremont Ave. in Tremont. When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting they found a 35-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman who had both been shot in the stomach.

The two victims were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital. The man — identified as 35-year-old Nestor Suazo of the Bronx — was pronounced dead at the hospital. The woman was listed in critical condition, police said.
