A Staten Island babysitter was arrested Wednesday after she was caught on a nanny cam abusing a 6-month-old girl in a Brooklyn home, police said.
Elena Bass, 36, allegedly abused the girl two times while she was baby-sitting her at a home near Hoyt and Schermerhorn streets in Boerum Hill.
A nanny cam set up by the parents captured Bass “violently removing” the girl from a crib on Dec. 22 and slamming her into an arm chair on Dec. 23, police said.
The girl’s parents went to the police after reviewing the nanny cam and seeing Bass allegedly grabbing and swinging their child.
The child did not suffer physical injuries.
Bass was arrested early Wednesday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned Wednesday evening.
It wasn't immediately clear if she had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
