Police say a 14-year-old boy was run over by a train and killed as he tried to perform a stunt at a subway station in Brooklyn.

The teen was riding between two train cars on a southbound L train around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when the accident happened, according to police.

As the train was pulling into the New Lots Avenue station, he attempted to do some sort of stunt that involved jumping onto the subway platform from the train.

But when the teen jumped, police say he missed the platform and fell onto the tracks, where he was run over by the train.

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, fire officials said. He later died.

The accident halted L trains between Broadway Junction and Canarsie–Rockaway Parkway around 12:20 a.m. Service resumed at 1:45 a.m.

It was just last Saturday that a man riding between two F train cars fell to his death in Greenwich Village. The train came to a screeching halt and passengers had to get out near the West Fourth Street subway stop and walk on the tracks to get above ground.
