Vehicle T-Bones Police Cruiser as Officer Responds to Call of Heart Attack: Police

A vehicle crashed into a police car in New Jersey early Monday morning as an officer responded to a call about a heart attack, authorities said.

The crash happened just after midnight at the intersection of Palisade Avenue and S. Dean Street in Englewood.

An officer was responding to a call about a heart attack in progress, when his car was T-boned by a driver who failed to yield to the officer, police said.

The officer’s car was rammed onto the sidewalk.

The officer and the driver's daughter — who was in the passenger seat of the crashed vehicle — were taken to an area hospital. They were treated for minor injuries and released, police said.

It’s unclear what happened to the driver of the vehicle.
