Unlicensed “Doc” Sentenced After Botched Laser Hair Removal

Gilles Peyrot Des Gachons will serve two years of probation and also forfeited his right to apply for a license to practice medicine in New Jersey

A judge has given a sentence of probation to a Warren Township man who admitted practicing medicine without a license.

Gilles Peyrot Des Gachons will serve two years of probation and also forfeited his right to apply for a license to practice medicine in New Jersey.

Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano says Des Gachons represented himself as a doctor to an undercover investigator and said he could perform laser hair removal and Botox injections. The joint investigation with the State Board of Medical Examiners began after a former patient reported being injured while receiving hair removal treatments.

Investigators concluded Des Gachons doesn't have a state medical license and isn't licensed to practice as a cosmetologist, manicurist or skin care specialist.

Des Gachons pleaded guilty in June.
