NJ Transit eastbound service on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast lines has resumed with delays of up to 60 minutes after a trespasser fatality near Linden forced authorities to suspend service between Metuchen and Newark and Woodbridge and Newark Monday.
NJ Transit said the 7:16 a.m. train out of New Brunswick hit the trespasser west of the Linden station on its way to New York around 7:40 a.m. No one on board was hurt. NJ Transit bus continues to cross-honor rail tickets and passes. PATH is also cross-honoring at Newark and Hoboken.

The commute wasn't much better for subway riders in the city. An ongoing rail condition between Queensboro Plaza and Lexington Avenue-59th Street plagued riders with delays all morning.
