Service on New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley Line was disrupted after a train struck a car at a road crossing in Montvale.

According to NJ Transit, a car driven by a 16-year-old was struck by a train at Kinderkamack Road just after 11 a.m. Sunday. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Several passengers inside the car were not injured, officials said.

None of the 60 passengers or any of the crew members on board the train at the time suffered injuries, NJ Transit said.

Service on the line was suspended on both directions between Park Ridge and Spring Valley, but has since resumed with delays.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
