NJ Transit, Amtrak Return to Normal Service

It was the third NJ Transit mess in two days.

New Jersey Transit trains are operating on or close to schedule again after a fatality earlier in the evening delayed service.

Amtrak service has also returned to normal after being delayed on the Northeast Corridor between New York and Philadelphia.

The person struck on the tracks was hit by an Acela Express train just before 1 p.m.

The Wednesday evening delays come after a messy morning on NJ transit because of a water main break.

And those delays came one day after Amtrak repairs of a downed power line delayed service along the Northeast Corridor Tuesday.
