NJ Transit Service Returns to Normal After Delays Caused by Brush Fire

A brush fire in Secaucus caused long delays on the NJ Transit at the height of rush hour Thursday evening as some were traveling for Easter weekend.

Several lines were affected by the delays, which reached up to 45 minutes at certain points during the hours-long rush.

They included the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley and Morris Essex lines.

Frustrated commuters shared photos of large crowds at Penn Station in New York City on social media.

The brush fire caused heavy smoke conditions in the area before it was extinguished.
