Authorities say two small planes have crashed in a wooded area in upstate New York.

Authorities say a Northern New Jersey couple found dead inside their home this weekend died in an apparent murder-suicide.

Police had responded to the Hillside home on Saturday morning after the couple's 15-year-old daughter found her mother unresponsive and called her grandmother, who notified authorities.

Inside the two-family home officers found 35-year-old Trecia Lewis' body on a bed in the upper level, while the body of her 45-year-old husband, Richard, was discovered sprawled in a bathtub.

Union County Prosecutor's Office spokesman John Holl says investigators believe Richard Lewis killed his wife and then himself. But Holl declined further comment on the incident.

The couple's daughter and their 11-year-old son were not hurt in the incident.
