A New Jersey woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly hitting a 4-year-old child on the head and face numerous times, police said.
Augustina Rodriguez-Morales, 36, was arrested following an investigation Tuesday into reports that a 4-year-old boy had been physically assaulted at a home in Lakewood.
When officers arrived at the boy’s house they found he was suffering from extensive injuries.
Rodriguez-Morales was charged with third-degree aggravated assault and child abuse.
Her bail was set at $50,000. She remained at the Ocean County Jail.
