Snooki says she's too pretty for jail.

Snooki said she belongs on the shore -- not behind bars.

“I'm too pretty to be in jail," the “Jersey Shore” starlet told MTV News. "I'm a good person. I'm not a criminal, and I will never go back there."

Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, was arrested July 30 in New Jersey for disorderly conduct while out filming the third season of “Shore.”

After a few hours behind bars, castmembers J-WOWW, Vinny Guadagnino and Paulie DelVecchio were seen escorting her out of the Seaside Heights police station.

The Marlboro, N.Y.-native told MTV on Friday that she couldn’t understand why people were taking her arrest “so seriously.”

"I had a couple cocktails and they just put me in a drunk tank to sober me up,” Snooki said. “I was on the beach. It happens to the best of us, and I'm not planning on going back to jail ever again. I was a public nuisance — big deal!"

She added: "When I was in there, I was like, 'Can I come out? I can't breathe!' Not a fun place. I will never go back."

Snooki is due to appear in Seaside Heights municipal court on August 18.

While she does not face more jail time, Snooki could be fined between $250 and $1,000 over the case, Seaside Heights court official Jane Carozza told CNN.
