Liam Neeson Becomes U.S. Citizen After Natasha's Death
"America's been very, very good to me," the actor said

"I'm still a proud Irishman, of course, but I've become an American citizen -- I'm very proud of that," Neeson said.
Irish actor Liam Neeson said he opted to become a U.S. citizen after receiving an outpouring of support from Americans following the shocking death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.
"That is partly the reason why I've recently become an American citizen," Neeson said on ABC's "Good Morning America" today. "I've been living here for 20 years and America's been very, very good to me."
"I'm still a proud Irishman, of course, but I've become an American citizen -- I'm very proud of that."
Neeson, 57, said Americans have overwhelmed him with letters of condolences in the months since his beloved Natasha died following a freak ski accident in March.
"I'm still getting extraordinary condolence letters from American people [and] that's deeply touching," he said.
Sons Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12, are "doing good," he added.
The actress, daughter of legend Vanessa Redgrave, was brought to a Manhattan hospital where she died in March with her family around her bedside.
The lights on Broadway were dimmed to honor the Tony Award-winning actress.
