Sarah Jessica Parker holds daughter Marion Loretta Elwell, as the couple's son, James Wilkie, looks on and proud dad Matthew Broderick cradles Tabitha Hodge in a photo taken June 22 in New York City.
The photo was taken in Manhattan by Robin Layton a week after the twins were born.
"The entire family is over the moon," a rep for the family told the New York Post.
James is "pretty excited" to be a big brother, Broderick said.
"Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker's side," the couple said in a statement released after the babies were born. "The babies are doing beautifully."
Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, have been married since 1997 and announced in April that after years of trying to get pregnant naturally, the couple decided to use in-vitro fertilization and were using a surrogate to carry their children.
The 26-year-old surrogate mother carrying the twins gave birth to the healthy girls in Ohio last week. But the pregnancy was not without controversy.
The surrogate, Michelle Ross, said her phone and computer had been hacked into and that she recieved threats and had her home broken into.
But now the focus has returned to the little bundles of joy.
"We have to get a lot of princess toys," Broderick said.
Sarah Jessica and Matthew posed for a family photo when James was born in 2002 outside the hospital where he was born as scores of photographers waited to catch a glimpse of the baby boy, Access Hollywood reported.
