Muggy, Sticky Weather Hangs Around 1 More Day

Thursday is expected to bring gorgeous weather and no humidity

The muggy, sticky weather that smothered the tri-state area earlier this week returns Wednesday, but meteorologists say relief is in the forecast.

Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny with isolated thunderstorms possible, particularly in the afternoon. One or two of the storm fronts may bring gusty wind and small hail, but the weather is not expected to be as severe as it was Tuesday evening in some areas.

Forecasters predict a high of 82 degrees for Wednesday, but passing storms will help lower the humidity by Thursday morning. Meteorologists expect gorgeous weather for Thursday, with sunny skies and warm temperatures in the high 70s and little or no humidity.

Spotty showers return to the forecast Friday evening through the weekend, with highs in the low to mid 70s predicted for most of the weekend. Expect a cloudy start to next week at this point, with moderate temperatures in the 70s.
