A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning on the Taconic State Parkway when an SUV driving in the wrong lane crashed head-on with the bike, New York State Police said.
The motorcyclist, Jeffrey Divine, of Stormville, died at the scene, investigators said.
The collision occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the town of Carmel.
Melida Espinal, 40, of Danbury, Conn., was driving her Subaru SUV in the wrong lane of the highway for nearly a mile before the head-on crash, investigators said.
Espinal and two passengers were treated for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation
