A 36-year-old Long Island woman has been arrested in the death of her newborn daughter, who was found unresponsive in a Queens hotel room last summer.

Lauren Becker, of Seaford, was charged late Wednesday with manslaughter in the baby's death at a Days Inn on Queens Boulevard on July 18.

Law enforcement sources told News 4 at the time that Becker's mother had called cops, saying her pregnant daughter was going to hurt herself. Police raced to the Days Inn in Long Island City and found Becker and her baby unconscious in one of the guest rooms, authorities said.

Sources had said they believed the baby was born somewhere between the time the mother called police and the time cops arrived at the hotel. They said there were complications with the birth of the baby and that the baby appeared to be premature. The baby was pronounced dead at a hospital. Details on a cause of death or reasons for the new manslaughter charge against Becker weren't clear.

It also wasn't immediately clear if Becker had an attorney.
