The family of a Long Island businessman says he was found dead floating in the water near a marina he operated in Montauk.
Carl Darenberg owned Montauk Marine Basin.
His cousin, Debbie Tuma, tells Newsday he was discovered Monday morning off Uihlein's Marina in Montauk Harbor.
East Hampton Town police say they are investigating.
The 64-year-old Darenberg spent his life in Montauk.
Tuma says he organized the area's first seafood festival and ran the Old Timers' Night honoring longtime Montauk fishermen.
Funeral services were incomplete.
