Police blocked access to a New Jersey shopping center and questioned shoppers after a New Jersey mother reported her 2-year-old son was missing.
But authorities in Saddle Brook called off the search at the Route 46 complex Thursday after more than 90 minutes when the 32-year-old remembered she had left the toddler with a friend.
Deputy Police Chief Robert White says it became apparent something wasn't right.
White says surveillance video showed the woman arriving at the shopping center alone.
White says it's not likely the woman would be charged because she really did believe the boy was missing.
