Person of Interest in Mom, Daughter Slayings May Have Fled: Cops

Authorities recovered a 12-inch knife and a 10-inch blade at the scene.

Police are looking for the boyfriend of a woman who was found stabbed to death, along with her 28-year-old daughter, in a Brooklyn apartment Sunday night.

Sources tell NBC New York they believe the man, Nikolai Rakosi, fled to Russia.

Police say they found the women, identified as Tatyana and Larisa Prikhodko, as they were investigating a missing person report.

Sources say the daughter, Larisa, was reported missing when she did not show up to drop off her 2-year-old son with his father. Police went looking for her and found the bodies of her and her mother at her mother's apartment.

They say Larisa Prikhodko was found dead with multiple stab wounds to the torso. Her 56-year-old mother, Tatyana, was found in a separate room with stab wounds to the torso and face. The mother's boyfriend is believed to be responsible and police suspect he has already fled the country.

The superintendent of the building on 13th Street in Sheepshead Bay described a grisly scene and asked most people in the building to remain in their apartments while police investigated.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators recovered a 12-inch serrated kitchen knife and a 10-inch blade at the location.
