Suspect in string of Midtown bank robberies from September to November

Police have released surveillance video stills of a suspect in a series of bank robberies in Midtown, hoping the public will be able to help identify and locate the man pictured.

Police say the man is a suspect in the following robberies:

  • Sept. 21, at the Capital One bank at 57 W. 57th St.
  • Oct. 6, at the Capital One Bank at 277 Broadway
  • Oct. 7, at Capital One Bank at 220 E. 42nd St.
  • Oct. 11, at the Metropolitan Bank at 99 Park Ave.
  • Oct. 20, at the Sterling National Bank at 622 3rd Ave.
  • Oct. 28, at the Capital One Bank at 1166 6th Ave.
  • Nov. 8, at the HSBC Bank at 2 Park Ave.

All the robberies occurred during the afternoon, and in each case, the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money. In one case, he appeared to have a black gun inside his waistband.
