Men Steal More Than $42,000 From Armed Security Guard: NYPD

Two men stole more than $42,000 after robbing an armed security guard at gunpoint in the Bronx Monday morning, police confirmed.

The guard was walking back to his Rapid Armored Corp. truck with three bags of cash in the parking lot of a BP gas station at 1237 Jerome Avenue when he was robbed, the New York Post first reported.

One of the men pulled out a gun and the guard gave up the money, according to police. They then shoved him to the ground and took his gun before fleeing in a 2001 Buick sedan.

The guard suffered minor injuries.
