Men Steal Beer, Candy from Queens Deli; Clerk Slashed: NYPD

Police are looking for two men who tried to steal beer and candy from a Queens deli Tuesday.

The men walked into the Queen Bee deli on 162nd Street in Flushing just before 3 a.m. and took the beer and candy before trying to take off, the NYPD said.

As they were leaving, the clerk tried to stop them, and one of the suspects tried to stab him, police said. The suspects then fled.

The clerk received a laceration to his hand, but refused medical attention.
