A California man has come forward to claim a $208 million lottery jackpot after buying the winning ticket in New York last month.

Daniel Bruckner of San Jose joined New York State Lottery officials Friday at the Long Island supermarket where the lucky ticket was sold.

The winning Mega Millions numbers were drawn on Dec. 27. The numbers were: 23, 32, 33, 39, 43 and a Mega Ball of 8.

Bruckner is a 35-year-old financial analyst. He says he bought the ticket while visiting relatives on Long Island over the holidays.

Last June, 20 employees at a Costco store, also on Long Island, split a $201.9 million Power Ball prize.
