A man has turned himself in to police in the fatal stabbing of a manager at a New York City McDonald's, police say.
No charges have been filed against the person of interest, who was still being questioned Wednesday afternoon, according to police sources.
Adam Garcia was stabbed at the fast-food restaurant in the Bronx's Kingsbridge neighborhood early on Monday after getting into an argument with a customer, police said. Surveillance images show the man walking in the area around the time of the killing.
Authorities say that Garcia, the night manager, asked the man to leave after he had spent about eight hours at the restaurant. The man left, but came back with a weapon that he used to stab Garcia several times in the chest and neck, according to the NYPD.
Police said Garcia gave statements to police and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian's Allen Pavilion Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The owner of the McDonald's, Chris Treftz, said he was "saddened and shocked by this morning's horrible incident."
"The safety of my customers and employees remains a top priority and I will assist the New York City Police Department in their investigation in any way possible," Treftz said.

Garcia's family said they are devastated by the loss.
"He was a family person, always did what was right," said one cousin. "He was just doing his job... which is why it hurts so much."
