New Yorkers will observe May Day with a parade in Midtown and an evening rally downtown. The following street closures will be in effect.
The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the May Day Parade:
- 60th Street between Fifth Avenue and Lexington Avenue
- Park Avenue between 60th Street and 61st Street
- Grand Army Plaza
- Broadway between 59th Street and 58th Street
- 59th Street between Fifth Avenue and Broadway
- 58th Street between Ninth Avenue and Broadway
The following streets in Manhattan will be closed from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the May First Worker Immigrants’ Rights Rally:
- 14th Street between Union Square and Avenue C
- Avenue C between 14th Street and 10th Street
- 10th Street between Avenue C and FDR Drive
