Police say a female body discovered by a jogger Wednesday in a wooded area on Long Island had been dumped there by a man who had used drugs with the woman.

Suffolk County Police charged the man Friday under the public health law for dumping the body of Pura Simancas, 45, in the Manorville park.

Officials say she and the suspect had injected heroin and taken Xanax together.

The woman was believed to have died sometime between Feb. 27 and Feb. 28.
