Police say they are looking for three armed robbers who tied up a worker inside a parking garage in lower Manhattan and took off with cash and luxury vehicles.
The suspects stormed the garage on Leonard Street just after midnight Friday and put a gun to the attendant's head.
"Only thing they said was, 'Let's go upstairs. Get on your knees,'" said the worker, who asked to remain anonymous. "I thought I was going to die."
The attendant told NBC 4 New York in an exclusive interview Tuesday that his mouth, legs and arms were taped up and he was left in an upstairs office. The robbers took his wallet, then stole an Audi, a BMW and a Ranger Rover.
The worker was able to free himself after about 15 minutes.
"I kicked and kicked and I wiggled until I got my feet loose," he said. "I went to my neighbor up the street, a security guard. He cut me loose and called the police."
The attendant said he hasn't been able to sleep or eat since the confrontation. Still, he comes to work every night because he said it helps keeps his mind off things.
