Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a 59-year-old woman in Brooklyn, authorities said Sunday.
The suspect approached the woman at about 6 p.m. Saturday as she sat on a park bench on Eastern Parkway. He led her to an apartment on Albany Avenue after she stated a need to find a restroom, police said.
The suspect directed her to a basement in the building where he choked and assaulted her, investigators said. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
The suspect has a Caribbean accent and scarred and discolored eye, investigators said.
